While Jonassen is still doing rehab on a knee injury which she sustained during an intra-squad trial match on the Gold Coast in the lead up to Australia's recent T20I Series against New Zealand. 

Australia came away with 3-0 victory in that match with the teams batting and bowling not a match for the Kiwis. 

Captain Meg Lanning put their victory down to knowing what to do in any situation.

"It's about batting to the situation in the game," she said.

"We've got some many different players in our team, we can play so many different roles, it just depends on the day," Lanning said.

In the coming days, a decision on Jonassen will be made but coach Mott is confident she is ahead of schedule.

The 15-player squad is also set to compete at the ICC World T20 in the West Indies in November.

Australia will be looking to redeem themselves after the West Indies beat Australia by eight wickets in 2016 so they will be looking to redeem themselves come next month. 

"We haven't had the success we like at the last two world cups, to be honest, so we are determined to get the result that we want," Lanning said.
