With second place on the line, Melbourne Victory rose to the occasion and sealed their fate with a 3-1 win over Sydney FC.
Amy Jackson- 8
Got Melbourne Victory on the scoresheet first. Jackson started the offensive play and was rewarded by being the one who was able to finish it. She was also active on the offensive half all game.
Annalie Longo- 7.5
A part of the dominant Melbourne Victory midfield, but had the least amount of touches and least amount of impact between them all.
Angela Beard -8.5
A thorn in the side of Sydney all game. Beard was able to get forward and play in quality balls to her teammates. Beard was a pure midfielder in this game playing both sides of the ball.
Darian Jenkins - 9.5
Scored two goals for Victory, one of which she took on the entire Sydney defence. Played well the whole game and looked like the best player on the pitch with her constant pressure on the defence.
Natasha Dowie - 8
Dowie was the one who assisted the first goal, slipping in a pass right at the six yard box. She was unable to get a goal of her own. But she was active all game and pressured the Sydney defence all 90 minutes.
