A game dominated by the Roar still had the Jets in the game for much of the match. The 2-1 scoreline does not feel like the right result, but is on brand for the majority of the W-League games this season.
Jenna Kinglsey - 7
While the Jets’ defence was busy for most of the game the offence had chances few and far between. Kinglsey had little impact in the offensive third.
Clare Wheeler - 6
Spent most of the match playing defence and unable to get much offence goign for the Jets. Had a few costly turnovers as well that were luckily not translated into Roar goals.
Nikki Flannery - 8
She was able to assist Andrews’ goal and get the Jets on the scoresheet for just the sixth time this season. Flannery was involved in much of the match and tried to spring a few more chances but none came to fruition.
Teigan Collister - 7
Back in the starting lineup due to an injury to Annabel Martin. Collister was manning the left side of the pitch, but like most of her teammates spent the majority of the game playing defence with few offensive chances.
Subs
Lauren Allan (64’) - 7
Inserted into the lineup to try and help the Jets get some more offence. She was not able to do much for the Jets, but had a few good runs into the final third.
Panagiota Petratos (75’) - 7.5
Coming into the game for Flannery, trying to give the Jets that extra push to try for the equaliser did not happen. She was able to get quality minutes that can transfer to the next game.
Paige Kingston-Hogg (89’) - N/A
A very late sub that was not given much time to impact the game.
