A game dominated by the Roar still had the Jets in the game for much of the match. The 2-1 scoreline does not feel like the right result, but is on brand for the majority of the W-League games this season.
Natalie Tathem - 7.5
Tathem had a solid day on the defence for the Roar. Perhaps her biggest blunder was committing the foul on Kingsley which led to the free kick that allowed the Jets to go up 1-0.
Tameka Yallop - 7.5
Yallop had the most shots on target for the Roar, but her biggest chances missed the frame completely. She had a wide open shot and another almost wide open shot where she sailed both chances.
Hayley Raso - 7.5
How did Hayley Raso not score today? She had eight total shots, but just two on goal. Raso looked dangerous and did a lot of the hard work leading up to the goal but just could not finish it off.
Isobel Dalton - 8
The Jets were limited in front of Brisbane’s goal and that was in large part thanks to the defence of Dalton. She was rock solid on the backline.
Subs
Hollie Palmer (52’) - 9
A second half sub coming in with the game tied 1-1 where it honestly should have been about 3-0 for her club. She was able to get the go ahead goal for her squad and be the spark they needed for the win.
Elise Kellond-Knight (75’) - 7.5
The first time Kellond-Knight has suited up for the Roar since 2015 was nothing special, but the fact that she was on the pitch was enough. She has been away on injury this year and returned to the Roar this season to make an impact. Her 15 minutes she had today is just the start of what she will be able to do for Brisbane.
