Despite a two second penalty for a gate touch at the end of the race, Fox was able to finish 4.50 seconds ahead of current World Champion Mallory Franklin.

Fox had only just won the Women's K1 on Saturday night, where she defeated Franklin by six seconds and last night's gold brings up her overall gold medal tally to six from six starts this season.

“I love this course, and I’ve had an amazing weekend,” Fox told ICF Media.

“It’s been an amazing three weeks and I’m so thrilled with that last race.

"I really, really attacked it, I hit the last gate but I think the rest of my run was almost perfect,” she said.

The dual Olympian has been racing with confidence over the past few weeks.

The ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup season takes a break until the end of August, when competition resumes at Tacen, Slovenia.
