Kalla was born into a footballing family and has rarely taken her boots off since she started playing at five years old.

Her interest in the women's game really kicked off at age 11 when she won a Matildas jersey for writing a piece on Lisa Casagrande, her favourite player at the time.

Kalla is a passionate supporter of Liverpool and Brisbane Roar, both the women and men, and a poor result can leave her sulking for days.

If she could trap three footballer personalities on an island she would probably spend the rest of her life trying to narrow down her options without ever coming to a decision. Although she's pretty sure she would take Giorgio Chiellini for his experience with fending off cannibalism, just in case the other two got hungry...
