Australia has gone one-two-three in the final of the Women's 100m Butterfly on Friday night.
Madeline Groves went into the finals with the fastest time having broken the Games Record in the semifinal swim last night.
However, her record only last 24 hours as gold medalist Emma McKeon came out and broke the record by 0.44 seconds.
It has been a tough program for McKeon who competed in five events on Thursday and still has three more races in her program.
"It gets easier every time," she said.
"Having five races in one day is definitely tough, but it's something I've done before and hopefully won't have to do it too often again."
Groves went one better than she did four years ago in Glasgow with a silver and after a not so easy 12-months, she was very emotional.
She didn't think she would be back in the pool and doubt she could make the team for the Games especially after missing weeks of training due to having surgery for endometriosis and fighting a two-year ban.
"This has validated everything I've been through, and all the hard work I've done, and to be up there one, two, three with the girls, it really doesn't get better than this," she said.
In her first Commonwealth Games, Brianna Throssell clinched the bronze and was excited to be part of the trifecta with her teammates.
"I'm feeling so excited right now, to go one, two and three with the girls is one of the most exciting moments in my life," she said.
