The Australian Diamonds have held off England 50-46 overnight in the second game of the Netball Quad series.
There were three changes to the side that beat South Africa over the weekend, with Caitlin Bassett and Stephanie Wood coming into the side, along with goal defender Jo Weston.Â

Coach Lisa Alexander emphasised the importance of her team to hold onto their connections.
"We had worked on our patience, and they were very disciplined on maintaining connections out on court, I was delighted," she said.
"Particularly with the transition out of defence when we got a turnover, there was much improvement on the first game.”
The second quarter saw the pressure build on the Diamonds as England brought Beth Cobden into the wing defence position while Australia stuck with their starting seven.Â
While the third quarter saw England gain some much-needed momentum to score the last six goals of the and reduce Australia's lead to three goals.Â
The final quarter saw the Diamonds returning to their start seven as the side capitalised on their opportunities when England made an error.Â
Caitlin Thwaites moved to goal shooter with only eight minutes remaining in the game and stood strong under the post, scoring every goal she attempted.Â

The Diamonds will travel to South Africa ahead of their final Quad Series test against New Zealand on Sunday.Â
