The Women's Game is disappointed to relay that Danielle Warby will be departing the team.
“As a founding member, Danielle has been crucial in the growth of The Women's Game," said Editor in Chief Ann Odong.
"Danielle has been a long time advocate for women's sport and her knowledge and guidance has will be a substantial loss."
Danielle Warby commenced with The Women's Game (TWG) in August 2011 with responsibility for strategy and planning, with specialisation in social media.
Under her stewardship TWG increased its online presence and achieved significant growth highlighted by:
- over 500% growth on Facebook
- over 400% growth of Twitter followers
- Twitter verification
- the introduction of an Instagram profile and YouTube channel
- the successful fundraising for new technology;
- producing, directing and filming the pilot episode of our women's football web series; and
- establishment of a strong profile in women's football worldwide.
"I've absolutely loved working with Ann and the rest of the team at The Women's Game," said Warby.
"I'm very sad to be leaving... and by 'leaving' I mean, see you all at the games! Bring on Canada 2015."
While Danielle may be departing TWG, she will continue to be a strong advocate for women in sport as a board member of the Australian Womensport and Recreation Association (AWRA), a content producer for Rebel Sports, the pioneering Sporting Sheilas website and several other roles Danielle holds.
