Caldow was with the Diamonds for four and a half years and was a former Diamond goal attacker.

“I have not made this decision lightly," she said.

"There is no doubt I will miss my involvement with the Diamonds leading into next year’s World Cup, but it’s time for a new challenge and focus.

“It has been an amazing journey working with and alongside Australia’s best netballers, who are outstanding young women and great ambassadors for our sport,” Caldow said.

Caldow is a three-time world champion and has had several stints working with the Australian team.

She made the decision not to seek reappointment for the 2018/19 season.

“The ultimate professional, Margaret set the standard on attitude and commitment to all aspects of life on and off the court," head coach Lisa Alexander said.

“I thank Margaret for the support she provided me personally and to the team, and wish her all the best for the next chapter of her life."
