BRISBANE ROAR RATINGS

GK Mackenzie Arnold - 7

Great save to deny Dowie late in the first half. Also read the play well for much of the game and came off her line at the right times.

Couldn't do much about the goals.

2 Carson Pickett - 8

Looked dangerous throughout the game with some clever passes into the box. Very classy player who can bring her team mates into the game with a killer ball.

3 Celeste Boureille - 7

Some great chances but Casey Dumont denied her twice.

4 Clare Polkinghorne - 8

A busy night for the Matilda star. Just have to love what Polkinghorne brings.

8 Kaitlyn Torpey - 5.5

Conceded a 10th minute own goal with a beautiful header which unfortunately went into the wrong net. Poor judgement to let Dowie through late in the first half when she misjudged the off side trap.

Subbed in the second half.

9 Rylee Baisden - 7

Got involved and showed she can be dangerous. Some nice passes and good positioning.

10 Katrina Gorry - 7.5

Was involved in Brisbane's first goal. Plenty of running and decent passing.

12 Allira Toby - 5.5

Not involved enough and her passing was a bit off. Subbed at halftime.

13 Tameka Yallop - 7

Great finish from Yallop to net her 50th goal for the Roar after being involved several times in the play. Tame penalty which could of drawn Brisbane level on halftime.

15 Claire Farrington - 5.5

Conceded the penalty and always looked to be strugging against  Dowie. Got better as the game went on but looked a tad off the pace. Will be much better for the run.

16 Hayley Raso - 8.5

Neat play to help set up Yallop's goal. Hard running throughout the game. Had a golden chance to bring her team back into the game in the 79th minute after a great run, but put her shot wide.

Never gave up and is the type of player a team mate would love.

SUBS

7 Indiah Paige Riley - 7

Second half sub.

Showed plenty of skill and deserved her goal that brought Brisbane back into the game.

Isobel Dalton - 7

63rd minute sub. Did some nice things and at got involved when she could.

19 Holly Palmer - 6

Came on in the 82nd minute and had a golden chance to equalise one minute later but sent it over the bar.

Melbourne Victory RATINGS

GK Casey Dumont - 9.5

A superb game from the former Brisbane Roar custodian against her former team.

Nice save off Pickett in the first half when Brisbane were coming hard after their equaliser. Good penalty save right on halftime.

Super save in the 66th minute of Celeste Boureille to keep her team ahead.

To put the icing on the cake she added a super double save in the 70th minute of Yallop and Boureille and also punched away a few balls at the death to keep her team ahead.

3 Teigan Allen - 6.5

Not involved as much as she would have liked.

4 Emily Menges - 7.5

Plenty of ball and plenty of decent passes coming out of the back.

10 Jenna McCormick -7.5

Solid playing the ball out of the back. Was in the right spot when Yallop had a chance in the 36th minute.

Lots of touches and pretty accurate with her passing (92%)

8 Angie Beard - 7.5

Got involved a lot but her passes didnt find feet as much as she would like. A decent shift.

6 Haley Hanson - 7.5

Solid game. Plenty of involvement and decent distribution to her team mates.

18 Grace Maher - 6.5

Plenty of touches but not enough accuracy with the passing.

16 Annalie Longo - 7.5

The Kiwi international had a strong game. Positioned herself very well in the middle of the park. Ran hard all night.

14 Melina Ayres - 7

Decent game, could of got more involved in dangerous positions. Wasn't as dangerous as she can be.

11 Darian Jenkins - 7.5

Plenty of running down the wings to give her team some options. Passing could have been more accurate but at least she got involved.

 9 Natasha Dowie - 8.5

Used all her experience to win a penalty which she despatched with ease. Was involved from the start.

Her second goal was a cracker. Brilliant control and technique to seal the game for her team.

Poor judgement to concede a penalty on halftime after handballing. Fortunately her keeper saved her and the penalty.

SUBS

15 Amy Jackson - 6

Came on in the 73rd minute. Didnt have a lot of time to make an impact.

Rosie Sutton - 6

Came on in the 81st minute. Hardly had time to do much.

Polly Doran - 6

81st minute sub. Not much involvement as expected.
