Commonwealth Games duo Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho del Solar have broken an Australian record after taking their fourth gold medal of the FIVB World Tour of Beach Volleyball at the Espinho Open.
"We had a disappointing last week, we didn't like the way we played so it was important to us to get our belief and trust in our game style," Clancy said.
The pair came together as teammates less than a year ago and have gone on to win three gold medal alongside a silver from the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.
Artacho del Solar and Clancy win against USA and Brazil on the Finals Day meant they had now won more gold medals on the World Tour than any other combination in Australian Beach Volleyball history.
They head to the Grand Slam of World Beach Volleyball placed in the top 10 in the world.
Olympic qualification is set to commence in September.
