Sam Stosur and fellow Aussie Ash Barty are through to the last eight at the Strasbourg International.
Barty needed barely an hour to advance to her maiden WTA clay-court singles quarter-final with a straight-sets victory (6-1 6-3) over local Pauline Parmentier while Stosur downed Fed Cup team-mate Daria Gavrilova last night.

It was the third encounter between Stosur and Gavrilova for 2018, with a second straight defeat of Gavrilova on clay.
Neither Barty or Stosur have dropped a set in the lead up to the French Open.
“I don’t know, I just seem to play well here,” Stosur told Tennis Australia.
“So I think anywhere you feel comfortable, you’re bound to play good tennis and I’m just happy I could keep it going this year,” she said.
Barty plays Qiang Wang on Thursday night and Stosur will face fifth seed Dominika Cibulkova in the quarter-finals on Friday morning for a spot in the last four.
