"I know caffeine boosts are great for concentration. I need carbohydrates. I’m losing sodium and potassium, so a hydration drink will not only help me perform, but also help my recovery.

"I’m tearing muscle fibres and their building block is protein, so after a workout, I have a protein shake to make sure that I'm giving my muscles the nutrients they need to rebuild and repair.

"I’m also hydrating, because I want to make sure I've replaced all of those fluids and electrolytes.”

Clayton’s adamant that the most rewarding part of her job is watching people improve their physical and mental health, stress levels and relationships by adopting the same day-to-day routines that she grew up with.

She never stops smiling as she talks about the past decade. Key to Clayton’s daily nutrition program are Herbalife Nutrition products, and she clearly gets a lot of satisfaction from being able to stand behind her own honest advice.

“The reason I trust them is because we have a program called Seed to Feed, which means we control our products from the ground to the container. We know exactly where everything comes from, how it was processed and how it was handled.

“Each product is batch tested. Athletes have to be very fussy about the products that we use because we want them to be effective and we want them to be safe. It just makes me personally very proud of our products.”

“As a mum, I can make a quick shake for breakfast that's a meal replacement with vitamins and minerals and the exact amount of protein, fats and carbs my body needs for a meal. You literally put two scoops into a container, shake it up and it tastes delicious. It’s nutritious, removes the guesswork and it’s convenient.”

Clayton is also proud of her relationship with Herbalife Nutrition due to the global giant’s commitment to community. Today, the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation provides funding to over 130 charity partners in over 50 countries to help them provide essential nutrition and nutrition education programs to over 100,000 children in need annually.

In Australia and New Zealand, Herbalife Nutrition Foundation supports six charity partners, including The Infants’ Home in NSW, the Lighthouse Foundation in VIC, Sunshine Butterflies in QLD, Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation in WA, Power Community Limited in SA, and Life Education Trust in New Zealand.

She says she “fell in love” with the company after seeing their passion and has relished the opportunity to teach people about her approach to life.

“One of the most amazing quotes is from a special person named Jim Rohn,” she says. ‘Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live.’

“I live by that every day.”
