Melbourne City remain undefeated as they claim all three points against the Newcastle Jets at AAMI Park
Milica Mijatovic is something special
Mijatovic brings something special to Melbourne City.
Her pace and spectacular attacking abilities add a spark to City’s offense, and she was the life of the game against the Jets tonight.
Mijatovic opened the scoring with an absolute belter. A cross from Kyah Simon found the feet of Mijatovic in the middle – she took a touch to her right before blasting the ball into the back of the net.
Her strike rate is better than a goal in every two games, but scoring goals isn’t Mijatovic’s only forte.
The 28-year-old was also involved in a majority of City’s build-up, running through the middle of the park and creating chances for her teammates.
She’s been an important part of Melbourne’s line-up so far this season, and we can expect more of the same from Mijatovic for the remainder of the season.

Mijatovic has been such a great find for City. just goes to show that the NWSL doesn't have a lock on quality international players. if only more #WLeague clubs maximised their scouting networks to find more Mijatovics and bring them here! #MCYvNEW
