The Young Matildas have been drawn in Group B of the 2015 ASEAN Football Federation Women’s Champions to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 1 – 10 May 2015.

The only youth representative side in the championships, the U20 side will face FIFA Women’s World Cup participants Thailand, Indonesia and Laos.

Meanwhile Group B consists of Myanmar, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam.

Starting 1 May 2015 Australia will play three games in 5 days with the top two nations from the group stage progressing to the semi finals.

This will be the second successive year that an Australian U20 squad has taken part in the championships with Spencer Prior's side finishing second in 2013.

Australia will use the AFF Women’s Championship serve as preparation for the AFC U19 Championships to be held later this year in Nanjing, China.

With the squad set to depart in late April, it is anticipated that Young Matildas coach Ante Juric will call the squad into camp in the coming weeks.
