FIFA and the Canadian Soccer Association have released a provisional schedule for the 2015 FIFA World Cup with Vancouver set to host the World Cup final.
The tournament, which is set to run from 6 June 2015 to 5 July 2015, will see Montreal and Edmonton host the semi-finals with the latter also hosting the opening ceremony and match (due to feature Canada as host nation) as well as the third place match.
The host cities for the 2015 World Cup are Edmonton, Moncton, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver and Winnipeg.
Canada 2015 will be the first time 24 teams will contest the FIFA Women's World Cup and the expansion has given the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) five qualifying places.
The AFC qualifying will be through the AFC Women's Asian Cup taking place from 14 to 25 May 2014 with the host nation set to be announced later this month.
Defending Asian Champions the Matildas will be looking to qualify for their sixth FIFA Women's World Cup.
