The youngest player at the 2019 competition and the fifth youngest in history Mary Fowler will provide Australia’s attack with speed and creativity. Fowler has scored 17 goals in 10 appearances for the Young Matildas and was named in the squad for the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship qualifications at the end of this year.

Jordyn Huitema

Huitema made her senior team debut at 2017’s Algarve Cup making her Canada’s third-youngest player in the team’s history. Last year she received the Golden Boot at the CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championships and has recently signed a four-year deal with French team Paris Saint-Germain.

In 2018 Carpenter became the youngest ever goal scorer in the National Women’s Soccer League while playing for the Portland Thorns.

Grez will be the smallest player at this year’s world cup at only 148cm tall. She made her senior team debut against Brazil in 2017. And last year she represented Chile in the South American U-20 Women’s Championship scoring two goals.

Rasheedat Ajibade

Ajibade is no stranger to big competitions as she captained Nigeria at the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. In 2017 she was one of two top scorers in the Nigerian Women’s Premier league and tied for the second highest goal scorer at the WAFU Women’s Cup last year.

In 2018 Takarada played a vital role in Japan’s U-20 Women’s World Cup campaign. She scored a total of five goals including a hattrick against Paraguay and was crucial in her team winning the title. Despite being eligible to play for the USA and Nigeria, Adamolekun chose to represent Jamaica and made her international debut at the CONCACAF Women’s U-17 Championship Qualifications last year. She scored two goals in her first appearance for the senior team against English club Nottingham Forest Ladies. Her senior international debut came in February this year in a friendly against Chile.

In 2016 Takounda made her national debut when she represented her country at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. In her two appearances at the competition, she scored Cameroon’s only goal in their match against Venezuela. Her senior team debut came in May this year in a World Cup warm-up game against Spain.

Gwinn has made eight appearances and scored one goal for Germany’s senior team since her debut in 2017. In 2016 she was a part of Germany’s championship team at the 2016 UEFA Women’s U-17 Championship.
