It will be a monumental occasion for the 24-year-old as she gets to play her 50th game in front of her home fans.

"I’ve got my family coming along which will be exciting, and my brothers and my nan so I’m really looking forward to it," said Tippett.

Her first game for the Firebirds in 2013 after making the switch from basketball to netball a year before.

In 2013, Tippett was used as a replacement player for the Queensland Firebirds for the injured Chelsea Pitman.

Tippett joined the NSW Swifts but at the end of 2014 season, she was released from her contract with Swifts to return home to Queensland to be closer to family.

She signed with the Queensland Firebirds once again and was back in the purple.

"Obviously being a Queensland girl, I don’t want to play for any other team, so I love every time I put on this purple outfit and it’s really special," she added.
