Matildas head into camp to prepare for NZ friendlies | TWG

The Matildas enter their third camp of the year tomorrow in Canberra. The Development Camp will be coach Tom Sermanni's final look at the squad ahead of their 24 and 27 June friendlies with New Zealand.
The 31-player squad for the three day training camp (17-20 April) at the Australian Institute of Sport is minus 16 squad members playing overseas and will form the basis of Sermanni's NZ team.
"With the matches in June against New Zealand fast approaching it’s time to start pushing the younger players to force themselves into selection and also for some of the more experienced players to start guiding the team towards competitive football," said Sermanni.
Also joining the camp will be several players on the Matildas long term injury list including Lydia Williams, who recently had surgery to repair her ACL, and those looking to return to full fitness.
“We are bringing in some of our injured players for treatment too which will help us get a better idea of who will be available for the New Zealand and Japan matches.
“I just read on her Twitter account that Bubs (Westfield Matildas captain Melissa Barbieri) has been given the all clear to train (following ankle surgery) which is a great boost for the squad."
