SERVET UZUNLAR

(Sydney FC)A skilled player, and even more so given that defence hasn’t always been her game, Uzunlar’s proved herself versatile and consistent—as well as the go-to girl for penalties.

BROOKE SPENCE

(Brisbane Roar)Spence returned from a broken ankle in season two to slot back in and strengthen the team. Surprisingly for a defender, she’s not overly tall, but more than matches her opponents with pace and pluck.

KYLIE LEDBROOK

(Sydney FC)A solid performer, Ledbrook has led Sydney by example in captain Heather Garriock’s absence this season.

Midfielders

TAMEKA BUTT

(Brisbane Roar)Strong in all aspects of the game, Butt can be relied upon to both attack and defend, turn the ball over in the midfield, and then run at players and score. Tough and tenacious, she’s Brisbane’s and the Matilda’s dynamo.

LAUREN COLTHORPE

(Brisbane Roar)With long strides and a strong work ethic to match, Colthorpe is one of Brisbane’s brilliant midfield workhorses.

AIVI LUIK

(Brisbane Roar)Having been based in the US, Luik burst onto the scene in season two and has proved a key player for both Brisbane and the Matildas ever since. A team player, consistent performer, we’re lucky she’s decided to return to Oz

ELISE KELLOND-KNIGHT

(Brisbane Roar)Pinpoint accurate delivery is KK’s speciality, making her the player of choice for Brisbane’s corners, free kicks, and penalties. She’s the player forwards love to receive passes from.

Forwards

KYAH SIMON

(Sydney FC)With devastating form and a swag of goals to boot, it’s impossible to go past Simon, whose game has improved exponentially this season.

LEENA KHAMIS

(Sydney FC)Having earned a rep for scoring with her head and her left boot, Khamis is talented, always in the hunt for goals, willing to work for them, and hard for defenders to contain.
