Australia's dismal record against New Zealand across all sports recently just got worse, while Australia's qualification path to Tokyo 2020 just got harder.
The Hockeyroos wasted a plethora of chances on their way to a 3-1 loss against New Zealand in their first match of the Oceania Cup.
They now have two matches, which they'll have to win both, in order to automatically qualify for the Tokyo Olympics.
