Sam Stosur is through to the quarterfinals of the WTA Mallorca Open after defeating Spanish wildcard Lara Arruabarrena in straight sets 6-3 6-4.
It took 84 minutes to claim the victory which saw her make the last eight at grass-court tournament for the first time since Eastbourne in 2011.
Stosur won nearly 80 percent of first-serve points and faced just two break points during the match.

This was capped off by seven aces and 25 winners to just 11 unforced errors.
Stosur will meet the winner of Slovenian Polona Hercog and American Alison Riske who play tonight AEST.
Riske stunned second seed Angelique Kerber in the first round with a 5-7 6-2 6-1 victory.
Another Australian, Arina Rodionova, kicked off her campaign at the ITF Great Britain 05A with a 6-0 6-3 thrashing of Russian Irina Khromacheva.
The 28-year-old faces Papua New Guinea’s Abigail Tere-Apisah tonight AEST in the next round.
