The Western Bulldogs have signed former Fremantle Docker Belinda Smith for the 2019 season.
The 23-year-old played both seasons in the AFLW for the Dockers, making seven appearances in the first AFLW season and five last season.
For her WAWFL club East Fremantle this season she has booted 14 goals in seven games.
In the first AFLW round in 2017, Smith amassed 17 disposals as a defender against the Bulldogs.
“When we saw that Belinda was available, I was constantly drawn back to that performance against us in our first ever game as an indication of her talent,” said AFLW head coach Paul Groves.
In another trade, Jessy Keeffe and Ruby Blair will be back for the Brisbane Lions in 2019 and will be hoping to make their senior debuts after being drafted to the club last year.
“They both show potential and we want to continue to develop and work with them,” Lions AFLW CEO Breanna Brock said.
