For the first time the public will gain some say in who will claim the W-League NAB Young Footballer of the Year.
Larissa Crummer (Melbourne City), Angela Beard (Brisbane Roar), Amy Harrison (Sydney FC) and Princess Ibini (Sydney FC) are in line for the 2016 award and W-League supporters will get their chance to make their thoughts known.
The Nominees
Larissa Crummer (Forward): The October Nominee, Crummer was a key part of the Melbourne City machine that swept all before them in the W-League. The 20 year old's 11 goals this season saw her become the youngest ever W-League Golden Boot Winner. Crummer is the new generation of mobile yet strong attackers with an excellent finishing touch.

Angela Beard (Defender): November's Nominee, Beard held down the full back position for Brisbane after the loss of one of their stalwarts. The 18 year old grew into the season and her development was highlighted by a strong performance in the narrow semi-final loss to Melbourne City.

Amy Harrison (Defender): The reigning Young Player of the Year was December's Nominee on the back of a strong month with Sydney. The versatile 19 year old is a quick and mobile defender with excellent ball skills and a reading of the game. Her knee injury late in the season curtailed what would have been a run at the Matildas Rio Olympics squad.

Princess Ibini (Forward): January's Nominee, the 16 year old's rapid gains in the 2015/16 season saw her move from the bench into the grand final starting line up. Still finding her feet, Ibini showed glimpse of the future with her smart runs and hold up work on the ball.

Your vote counts
Carrying a 20% weighting, the public votes will result in a 3-2-1 vote allocated to the players based on their volume.
The rest of the 80% will come from a technical and media panel including:
- Technical Panel: Alen Stajcic (Matildas head coach), Vicki Linton (Matildas assistant coach) and Ante Juric (FFA Technical Director)
- Media: Steph Brantz (Commentator)
The winner will be announced at the Dolan Warren Awards on Tuesday, 26 April 2016 and will be presented with a $10,000 personal investment portfolio from NAB and in the event of a tie of two or more players they will each receive a $10,000 prize.
