Orlando Pride stars Carson Pickett and Chioma Ubogagu have signed on Brisbane Roar next season, the club confirmed today.
Versatile fullback Pickett will return on loan to Brisbane for a second W-League season in Orange following a debut season on the left side of the Roar's defence last campaign.
She will be joined by Orlando Pride teammate & FIFA U20 Women's World Cup winner Chioma Ubogagu for her first season Down Under.
The 26-year-old attacker scored eight in two NWSL seasons at Pride and has experience playing at the highest level after making her professional debut with English side Arsenal in 2015.
Pickett, 25, was an integral member of Roar’s run to the Premiership in season 10 and coach Mel Andreatta believes she will be key to more success in the coming months.
"We're delighted to welcome back Carson to our Roar Women family, and, it's fantastic news that ‘Chi’ will join us for Season 11 also," Andreatta said.
"Both players are fantastic footballers in their own right and I know they will suit our up-tempo attacking style of play.
"It's been an exciting few days and the group can't wait to hit the ground running in Round 1 against Perth Glory at our fortress, Suncorp Stadium.”
