Chicago Red Stars midfielder Vanessa DiBernardo has signed with Perth Glory for the remainder of the 2015/16 W-League season.

"I'm really excited to be playing here in Perth." said DiBernardo.

"It's a great opportunity to continue to play in a competitive environment and grow as a player."

The 23-year-old joins the Glory on loan from the NWSL semi finalists and becomes the Glory's second international signing after Sky Blue FC midfielder Nikki Stanton.

With two seasons and 43 matches to her name in the NWSL, DiBernardo will slot in as a key component of a Glory midfield that has been searching to find the form and rhythm of last season.

A former U-20 Women's World Cup and capped at U-23 level, Glory will be hoping the attacking midfielder's passing ability will be the link between the midfield and the attack, as well as supplying a goal or two from the midfield.

"The girls on the team have been nothing but welcoming, and I'm excited to get on the field with them."

Vanessa DiBernardo joins Glory this week and should be cleared to play in Perth's next home game against the Melbourne Victory on 28 November.
