Kim, 31, has 54 Matildas caps to her name, and has been a cornerstone of Glory’s defence since 2015, while fellow-defender and namesake Sarah is set to start what will be her eighth season in purple.

Tenacious midfielder May, 27, is a foundation player who holds the club’s W-League appearances record and is targeting another milestone in the upcoming campaign.

“I’m closing in on my 100th game for Glory,” May said, “and achieving that would be a great honour.

“It’s definitely a factor behind my decision to re-sign this year.

“I’m really looking forward to playing with a great group in what promises to be a very exciting season.”

Those sentiments were echoed by Sarah Carroll, 23, who also feels that the quality of the young players within the squad bodes well for the club’s future.

“I always enjoy playing for Perth and I’m very excited about this year," she said.

“We’ve got some very talented young ones coming through and it’s a good chance for them to get their opportunities. Obviously it’s great to have Sam (Kerr) back as well!”

Head Coach Bobby Despotovski believes the trio will have a huge role to play both on and off the field as Glory target a maiden W-League title.

“They are all experienced campaigners who bring stability and know exactly what is expected,” he said.

“They are leaders on the park which is especially important as we have a youngish squad this year.

“They play a part not only as footballers, but also as mentors for the younger players and it’s great to have them on board again.”

Glory’s W-League campaign starts on Sunday 28 October away at Brisbane Roar, with the first home game set to take place on Saturday 17 November against Western Sydney Wanderers.
