Australia take on Singapore at the Youth Football Training Center in Hanoi, Vietnam in their second match of the AFC U19 Championship qualifiers.
On Wednesday, Ante Juric's side embarked on their quest for qualification with a strong 6-0 win over Hong Kong.
"In terms of results it's always good to win the first game. It is vitally important in this kind of format," said Juric on the first up performance.
"I was a little displeased with the final pass and the finishing, especially in the first half but, like I said to the girls at half time, a lot of the breakdown was simply because we hadn't prepared together enough."
"It was just a case of being little bit out of synch with each other which is something that can only come with time on the park together."
While the Young Matildas dominated the contest against Hong Kong, it took 25 minutes for them to hit the scoreboard and they only registered the one goal in the first half. Juric took the opportunity of the half time break to make some slight changes.
"They were quite deep so early we played wide, which they gave us space to do. When we were wide, we were too slow and by the time we reached the final third, they had 7, 8 or 9 in the box for the delivery."
"In the second half, we just looked for the forwards to play more in between the lines and to be more direct, which paid off in us finding space behind the defence."
"I gave a few instructions in terms of a little bit more team play and the executed very well, especially in the front third. It was pleasing in the end."

Juric's starting XI was a mix of players who had returned from previous Young Matildas campaigns (including captain Amy Harrison, defender Emma Checker and goalscorer Larissa Crummer) and debutants at the U20 age group.
"It’s a strong squad anyway, this group," Juric said.
"Compared to the U16s, who had no experience, I wasn't worried at all about calling up players who hadn't played internationals before.
"These girls have good heads on their shoulders and some have already played in the W-League, which is a higher level than this stage of this tournament."
The coach's confidence was well founded with three of those debutantes, Princess Ibini-Isei, Emily Condon and Beattie Goad (a brace), netting their first youth international goals for Australia.
Next up for the Young Matildas is a Singapore side who was defeated 11-0 by Vietnam in their opener.
In light of the usual AFC two day match turnaround, Australia is anticipated to field a new starting line-up.
"With this strength of squad, we have the luxury of changing this around and not losing the quality."
Several players will also make their youth international debuts with Juric looking for that, and the competition for positions, to prevent any possible complacency in a match the Young Matildas enter as favourites.
"From my point of view, the message is clear; regardless of who you play, training or matches, I expect the best because we have a big goal at the end of this long campaign."
"It is our job as coaches to drive that and let them know there is a bigger picture."
