NAB has partnered with the AFL again to bring back the NAB Mini Legends in 2021, bringing new young faces to the much-loved tradition.
The campaign highlights NAB's commitment to football, supporting the next generation of stars to the legends of the game. It brings to life the enthusiasm that children around Australia have for the game, connecting them with their idols from both the AFL and NAB AFLW.
In its fifth year, the newest NAB Mini Legends includes miniature versions of Bailey Smith (Western Bulldogs), Sabrina Frederick (Richmond), Stevie-Lee Thompson (Adelaide), Zach Tuohy (Geelong) and Mitch Robinson (Brisbane).
Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield spearheads the initiative, but has given the honour t Zach Tuohy to have a NAB Mini Legend created in his name.
From other aspects, the NAB Mini Legends program has been well received by the community, as well as AFL Executive General Manager Customer and Commercial Kylie Rogers, who knows what initiative like this mean to footy at all levels after COVID-19.
"Grassroots football has never been more important to local communities," she said.
The program stretches players of all levels to find their love for the game that unites our nation.
"The new NAB Mini Legends campaign harnesses the passion of our future generation and fosters the enthusiasm children have for our game," said Rogers.
Recently launched on Friday 26 March via a television advertisement during the Geelong vs Brisbane match, the feedback has been positive towards a new group of NAB Mini Legends who represent players of all levels, skills and ability across our great game.
NAB has been a partner of the AFL since 2002 and has sponsored Auskick since 2006. NAB also sponsors NAB AFL Academy, NAB AFL Rising Star and is the naming rights sponsor for the NAB AFL Women's competition.
