Canada v China - 6 June 2015 [Group A]
While the obvious reason is that it's the opening match of the tournament, it is a little more than that. This match is particularly important for Canada as a host nation who has aspirations of being still in the tournament on July 5.
China's ability to marry physicality with technicality make them are a potentially tricky opponent and a loss for Canada could put the all important group win in danger.
Germany v Norway - 11 June 2015 [Group B]
There is a great chance that this clash, a re-match of the Euro 2013 final, will be the early group decider. For both nations, who have been hit by crucial pre-tournament injuries, it also an opportunity to play in pressure conditions, something that may be a little scarce in their other matches.
Japan v Switzerland - 8 June 2015 [Group C]
Although debutantes, Switzerland have ambitions to reach the knock out stage. This first group encounter with the world champions will give them an indicator of where they are in relation to one of the world's best. For Nadeshiko it will be a rare challenge in a group that should provide little problem for a team of their calibre.

United States v Australia - 8 June 2015 [Group D]
It would be pretty easy to name every match in Group D, such is the weight placed on every match. However, this encounter will prove key for both nations. The United States will be looking to start off the tournament with an strong performance in keeping with their title hopes while Australia will want to come away from this match with a big scalp and a whole lot of confidence. This match will be great to watch for the number of attacking talent available to both sides.
France v England - 9 June 2015 [Group F]
This is arguably THE "must see" match of the group stage. Not just for the clash between two teams with title aspirations, not only for England looking to avenge their Germany 2011 quarter final exit and humiliating Euro 2013 loss at the hands of the French but for the curiosity of how they will approach the game. We all know the possible future scenario, a potential quarter final with Germany as reward for the group winner.
United States v Sweden - 12 June 2015 [Group D]
Matches between the United States and Sweden are usually group deciders and many anticipate this will be the case again. The United States have had the better overall record against the Swedes at the group stage (3 wins from 4 matches) but Sweden turned the tables in 2011 to top Group C. When these two nations meet there is no holding back and this match should be no difference, particularly with the extra spice of former USA coach Pia Sundhage leading her native Sweden.

Brazil v Spain - 13 June 2015 [Group E]
This is another group where you could easily pick most, if not all, of the matches as "must see". However the stand out game is this one for many reasons. The battle of the one namers; Marta v Vero, the flair players present in both teams and also a chance to see whether Brazil is a contender or pretender and if Spain can live up to their "dark horse" status.
Canada v Netherlands - 15 June 2015 [Group A]
If results go to world rankings then this match looms as the Group A decider. It is also a match that could shape how far either side progresses at Canada 2015, particularly with the second place team in Group A in line to meet the USA in the quarter finals.
Korea Republic v Spain - 17 June 2015 [Group E]
As with the above match, this final group match could be the decider between which nation claims the automatic qualification and spares themselves the 'best third-place' lottery. Again their will be plenty of skill and a great deal of tactical chess play occurring in this match with Vero and Ji So Yun set to be at the centre of it all.
