Aussie Rules and handballer Hannah Mouncey has decided to pull her application from this years AFLW Draft due to her treatment from the AFL.
The 28-year-old took to Twitter on Sunday night explaining the AFL has treated her "like shit" and that the toll her and loved ones face in fighting for her to play the highest level of the game was "too great".
In the process, Mouncey also released personal medical data which showed that she was within the requirements the AFL had laid out for transgender and non-binary athletes wanting to play AFLW.

Mouncey first fought for her chance to become the first transgender female to play AFLW last year but was denied. She went on to play for the Darebin Falcons in the VFLW this year.
At the end of August, the AFL released their policy for the participation of trans and non-binary athletes which outlined they would have to maintain a "testosterone at or below 5 nmol/Lfor at least 2 years" due to "the competitive advantage of higher levels of testosterone".
If these requirements were met, athletes would need to produce information regarding their height, weight, bench press, 20m sprint, vertical jump, GPS data and 2km run.

"The toll this has taken on the people I care about is enormous, as has the toll it's taken on me. I'm not ok with allowing that to continue. I'm comfortable in the fact that given the chance, I would have done well at the next level," she wrote.
"Eventually, what has gone on behind the scenes will come out, and it paints a sad picture if an organisation with no leadership, who carse only for its corporate image above all else."
The policy drew criticism online with the AFL failing to provide the medical or scientific evidence for the decision. The policy has been likened to the IAAF Difference of Sexual Development (DSD) policy which is set to come into effect in November.
The policy from the AFL also states "that trans men and non-binary people can nominate for the AFL draft and play in the AFL without the same requirements or assessment" as they are believed to not have the same "relevant competitive advantage".
AFLW draft nominations can be made between September 3-14 with the draft for the AFLW season to be held in late October.
