Darebin has won back-to-back VFLW Premierships after only joining the competition in 2016.

"I can’t say exactly why I ended up at the Falcs," she said.

"I had a chat with the footy manager in November, who said I was welcome at the club if I was ever in Melbourne.

"But that was about it."

However, with the season to begin this weekend, Mouncey also revealed she wasn't sure if she would be playing at all as to play in the VFLW she has to be registered to a suburban club.

With the dramas of 2017, she found it difficult to find a local team that would sign her and while she now has, it is not known whether or not this will be finalised in time for the Falcons game against NT Thunder.
