There have been mixed results overnight for Australia's female tennis stars as they continue their preparations for Wimbledon.
Daria Gavrilova and Ash Barty are out of the Birmingham classic after both went down in straight sets.
Gavrilova lost 6-2 6-2 to World No.4 Petra Kvitová, as it took the defending champion just 78 minutes for Kvitová to close out the match.
Kvitova will go on to face Julia Goerges, who beat Barty 7-6(6) 6-3.

Barty, who reached the final in Birmingham last year, was riding a six-match winning streak on grass after claiming the WTA title in Nottingham.
However, found the German hard to beat.
Meanwhile, Ajla Tomljanović took just 72 minutes to put herself into the quarterfinals of the Mallorca Open with a 6-3 6-3 win over Swede Rebecca Peterson.
Tomljanovic, who came through qualifying, has won four straight matches at the event and will attempt to make it five straight when she faces defending champion Anastasia Sevastova.
