Geva Mentor will make her 150th national league appearance against the Adelaide Thunderbirds.
Mentor has spent almost a decade in Australia playing for Adelaide Thunderbirds and Melbourne Vixens.
She moved to the Sunshine Coast Lightning last season during the inaugural season of the Suncorp Super Netball and was an integral part of her sides Championship win.
“The mood is really positive among the team this week and we have a higher skip in our walk after Sunday’s match,” Mentor said.
“The win certainly bolstered our confidence and confirmed we’re moving in the right direction, so we’re feeling good going into this weekend’s clash with the Thunderbirds.”
The Lightning haven't had the best start to the season with only one win, which came last weekend against the Magpies.
They will be looking to continue their momentum heading into the weekend but will still be missing coach Noeline Taurua who had returned home to New Zealand to be with her ill father.
“Our thoughts are with Noeline and we’re more motivated than ever to do her proud while she and her family are going through such a difficult time," Mentor said.
