No less than equalling the all time Derby record. Melbourne City thumped Melbourne Victory 4-0 at Lakeside Stadium.
Hayley Hanson - 6
Defensively suspect, but one of the better attacking Victory players today, able to hold and distribute play in the midfield and even launch a run or two early.
Amy Jackson - 5.5
A night to forget for Jackson, nothing paid off and she was one of the first off the pitch.
Angie Beard - 7
She never stopped running, bombing down that left flank to little or no avail. It got a little easier when Carpenter was withdrawn and she finished the match impressively.
She almost tucked one in through Lydia Williams mishandling a cross, but no such luck.
Annalie Longo - 6
While generally outplayed, like all Victory players, Longo did have her moments.
Her biggest problem was she outpaced by every City player on the park, making her look a little worse than she probably was.
Rosie Sutton - 5
Unfortunately anonymous with little service to write home about, another early withdrawal.
Natasha Dowie - 6.5
Dowie plugged away relentlessly, especially in that first half where she attempted to carve opportunities out of nothing. Still, not quite at her best.
She was isolated, meaning she constantly faced off against a double-team, and couldn't create much that was tangible as a result.
SUBS
Teigen Allen - 5
Couple of scrappy fouls and not a lot else to say.
Grace Maher - 5.5
Far from her best, she looked stagnant and lost the ball in some dangerous positions. Coming into this match in the position she did was a baptism of fire, but she did steady as the match wore on.
Melina Ayres - 6.5
Famed for her defensive work, this afternoon was no different. A couple of nifty passes through to Dowie but barely touched the ball in the final third...it was that sort of night.
