Commonwealth Games triathlete Charlotte McShane has won the second stage of the Grand Prix Triathlon in Pescara, Italy.
McShane took the lead in the last metres of the race in front of Beatrice Mallozzi and fellow Australian Emma Jeffcoat.
"I'm happy to be back in Italy and to have won this Grand Prix race after a good experience last year," McShane said.
"I was first out of the water, then a small group of seven athletes was formed on a bike, we worked very well in this fraction," Jeffcoat said.
"In the race, I stayed with the first three and I defended the podium," she said.

The swim saw Jeffcoat, Ilaria Zane, Alessia Orla, Sharon Spimi, Mallozzi, Alessandra Tamburri, McShane and Tamsyn Moana-Veale in the leading group.
Jeffcoat was the first out of the water and entered the transition area with a group of about 10 athletes in pursuit.
During the 20 km bike, the leading group of eight lost Zane who was forced to stop after a tire puncture and gained over one minute on the pursuers.
In second transition area, the fastest were Jeffcoat and McShane with Mallozzi coming in at third as the three increased their lead in the final 5km run from the pursuers.
On the last lap, McShane and Mallozzi imposed their rhythm over Jeffcoat but McShane was able to take the win.
