The latest FIFA Women's World rankings have seen the Matildas rise to their highest ever ranking of No.8 thanks to a July win over the World No. 6 France.

Climbing two spots, Australia hold the ranking with AFC counterpart DPR Korea with the two countries still trailing World Champions Japan, who continue to occupy the AFC No. 1 spot and No. 3 in the world.

The Top 2 have remained the same despite Germany claiming their 8th European Championship late last month.

Meanwhile France (6th) and England (11th) paid for their dismal Euro campaigns with slides down the rankings while Norway's (10th) appearance in the Euro final gave them a boost into the Top 10.
