The match schedule for the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup has been announced with the tournament kicking off on 5 August 2014 at the National Soccer Stadium in Toronto.

While the Olympic Stadium in Montreal will host both the final, on 24 August, and the third place place.

The biennel 3 week tournament will see 16 teams and 32 matches played across the four host cities; Edmonton, Moncton, Montréal and Toronto.

“The announcement of the match schedule is an important moment on the road to the final tournament as the Host Cities now know the number of games they will host. And the fans can already save the dates and in November will be able to finally buy their tickets for the matches”, commented Tatjana Haenni, FIFA’s Deputy Director of Competitions for Women’s Football.

The Canadian National Organising Committee also announced that tickets for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 will go on sale in November of this year.

The Young Matildas will be looking to claim a berth in the tournament with a Top 3 finish in the AFC U19 Championships starting on 11 October 2013.
