Reigning W-League Goalkeeper of the Year Mackenzie Arnold has re-signed with Perth Glory for the 2015/16 season.
“I didn’t feel a need to change clubs,” said Arnold of her re-joining the Season 7 Premiers.
“I want to help the team go that one step further than last season to win the (Westfield W-League) Grand Final.”
Arnold joins Sam Kerr and Caitlin Foord as key Glory personnel to return for Season 8 under new coach Bobby Despotovski.

“I’ve spoken to Bobby (Despotovski) over the phone a few times, and I’m looking forward to learning a new playing style and seeing what he has to offer to the team as a coach.”
The 21 year old was a large component of a Perth Glory defence that conceded just 10 goals in their 2014 campaign, the lowest in the W-League.
It was her exploits in the W-League that saw the two W-League Goalkeeper of the Year in the running for one of the three World Cup goalkeeping berths, although Arnold never got on the pitch.
Along with Kim Carroll, Arnold is set to be one of the building blocks of the new Glory defence.
“She brings stability and organisation from the back. She knows the girls, the city and she enjoyed herself last year. She is crucial for us,” said Despotovski.
Arnold is expected to return to Perth in September.
