Former Adelaide Crow Rheanne Lugg is headed to Queensland after signing with the Brisbane Lions for 2020.
The 29-year-old did not play in the inaugural season of AFLW as she decided to focus on her commitments with the Australian Army but was drafted a year later to the Crows where she played six games.
Lugg has a long history with footy, winning a premiership with Swan Districts in Western Australia and represented Western Australia four times.
Rheanne was in the WA team that beat the Victorian team for the first time in 2015.
“We want great footballers at our Club but more importantly we want great people to continue building our strong culture here at the Lions,” Lions Women’s CEO Breeanna Brock said.
“We believe Rheanne can help us with this next season.
“She is already familiar with our girls, having played alongside Kate Lutkins in games for the Australian Army and Jess Wuestschner in WA.
“We can’t wait to have her up here to get started.”
