Australian Emily Little has been named Floor Champion at the International Gymnastics Federation’s (FIG) Individual Apparatus World Cup Series.
The Olympian reached the podium in the first four events of the series to secure the title by a massive 30-point margin, ahead of Croatia’s Ana Derek and China’s Liu Tingting.
There were eight events in the 2016-2018 Individual Apparatus World Cup Series where athletes receive points in accordance with their final ranking on each apparatus.
She missed the second year of the Series through injury but remarkably held onto the top spot in the Floor competition.
Little also finished ranked second on Vault and third on Balance Beam.
“I’m extremely happy and honoured to win the World Cup Series for Floor,” Little said.
“It hasn’t been the easiest year for me as I have been dealing with an injury, so to come out with a win feels really special to me," she said.
