Brisbane Roar and Matildas midfielder Katrina Gorry has been nominated for the 2014 AFC Women's Player of the Year alongside Japan duo Aya Miyama and Nahomi Kawasumi.
Gorry was instrumental in the Matildas run to the 2014 AFC Women's Asian Cup final, scoring 3 crucial, and spectacular, goals along the way.

Since donning the No.10 jersey 18 months ago, the 22 year old has assumed the mantle of Australia's main creative force in the midfield as well as adding key goals to repertoire. She is anticipated to again feature heavily in the Matildas 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup plans.
Gorry's competition in the award is formidable with two time Player of the Year and 2014 Asian Cup Player of the Tournament Aya Miyama and Nadeshiko teammate Kawasumi also nominated.
The duo were key to Japan claiming their maiden Asian Cup title with a narrow 1-0 win over Australia in the final.
A win would see Gorry join Matildas teammate Kate Gill as only the second Australian to win Asia's top gong.
The award will be presented on 30 November 2014.
