Brisbane Roar midfielder Katrina Gorry has been named Professional Footballers Australia's (PFA) W-League Player of the Month for December 2015.

“Recognition from your fellow players is the best recognition you can receive and I’m very proud to have been voted as the player of the month,” said Gorry.
“I would like to thank my teammates who have made this award possible and everyone who voted for me - it means a lot.”
Gorry has been stellar in Brisbane Roar's re-emergence as a finals contender with the attacking midfielder at the heart of their play.
Although Brisbane only claimed the one win in December, Gorry was instrumental in their win and narrow defeats as the 2013/14 PFA Women’s Footballer of the Year proved a standout on the pitch.
Since then, Brisbane has gone on to win three of their last four games and move within a draw of securing a W-League semi final berth.

PFA Executive Committee Member Lydia Williams commented on Gorry's influence for Brisbane and the competition.
“Throughout the season Katrina has been in great form, no more so than during December,” said Williams.
“She is a thoroughly deserving winner and it is great to see her in such great form with important Olympic qualifiers coming up for the Matildas.”
The PFA W-League Players of the Month is proudly supported by PFA Major Partner LUCRF Super, Travellers Choice and Winning Edge.
PFA Player of the Month nominees are provided by a panel of women's football writers and commentators with the W-League players voting on the final four nominees.
