Six time W-League Referee of the Year, Kate Jacewicz has been named the referee for the 2016 W-League Grand Final.

The Season 8 finale will spell the seventh time the 30 year old has been in charge of the showpiece match.

Jacewicz is the W-League's most experienced referee and this year the official surpassed 50 W-League matches.

“Of course with any big event comes an element of excitement," said Jacewicz on her appointment.

" I look forward to every matchbut there is something special about refereeing the Westfield W-League Grand Final."

“Finding the motivation is easy when you love what you do and the women's footballcommunity makes it a joy to be a part of."

Alongside Jacewicz will be Assistant Referees Laura Moya and Renae Coghill, Fourth Official Danielle Anderson and Additional Assistant Referees Rebecca Durcau and Kelly Jones.

"All six Match Officials have refereed very well throughout the season andI wish to congratulate them all on their appointment," said FFA Director of Referees Ben Wilson.

Earlier this month Jacewicz was named as two Australian referees pre-selected for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.
