Led by Kate Jacewicz for the eighth time, the 2017 W-League grand final will have its most experienced line up of officials as Perth Glory take on defending champions Melbourne City.

A 7x time W-League Referee of the Year and Australia's top referee, Jacewicz will be joined by former AFC Assistant Referees of the Year Sarah Ho and Allyson Flynn.

Danielle Anderson will be the Fourth Official with Additional Assistant Referees Rebecca Durcau and Lara Lee completing the officiating team.

“Personally I think being selected to officiate this Grand Final is testament to the work I’ve put in during the year and caps off what has been a pretty successful 12 months for me individually, so it’s a great feeling,” said Jacewicz.

Jacewicz has had a strong 12 months becoming in 2016 the first Australian since 2007 to official a FIFA final and was awarded a 2016 AFC Referees Special Award.   The 31 year old is continuing to build towards the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup but for now is looking forward to the W-League Grand Final.

“Grand Finals are always big events. Anything can happen so you have to prepare accordingly but having done seven other W-League Grand Finals, I’ve got the experience of those under my belt which will allow me to officiate to the best of my ability on Sunday.”

“I’m excited by the other officials that have been appointed to the match, it’s a very strong team so I’m really looking forward to officiating with them because they are all quality officials but also good friends.”
