Matildas co-captain and Perth Glory striker Kate Gill, Matildas and Melbourne Victory spearhead Lisa De Vanna and Sydney FC defender Ellyse Perry have been named in the Daily Telegraph's 100 greatest Aussie sports stars.
Compiled by leading writer Richard Hinds the list ranks the top sportspeople in accomplishments and importance.
Gill, who scored Perth Glory's sole goal in their Round 11 1-0 upset win over Melbourne Victory, was named at position 90. Along with her Golden Boot in the 2012/13 W-League season, Hinds considers Gill, who is second on the all time leading Matildas goalscoring, a crucial part of the Matildas Asian Cup defence and 2015 World Cup campaign.
De Vanna, who is currently third in the Season 6 W-League Golden Boot race, was named at 48 for her "world class skills" and recognised as one the "most dangerous strikers in the game." De Vanna had an impressive 2013 which saw her nominated for FIFA Goal of the Year as well as taking out her first FFA Footballer of the Year.

Meanwhile Perry found herself at 37 on the list. Although her Ashes Woman of the Series performances have meant the 23 year old has not had much match time for Sydney FC, the full back is still a key figure in Alen Stajcic's finals plans. With the Ashes completed, Perry will be available for selection this weekend for the Premiership showdown with Canberra United.
