Adelaide United defender Jenna McCormick has been awarded the Lady Reds Player of the Year.
McCormick, a former midfielder who moved into the back line, was a standout performer for the team throughout the season and made a big contribution to Adelaide's improved defence.

The Reds conceded 15 goals in the W-League regular season finishing with the fourth best defensive record; a record better than Brisbane Roar and only one behind Sydney FC.
An incredible turn around from Season Five where they shipped 40 goals in just 12 matches.

As further recognition of the improved defensive structures, goalkeeper Melissa Barbieri was voted the Players' Player of the Year.
Adelaide United finished the season in sixth placed, obtaining their highest ever points total and ladder position.
