Australian referees Kate Jacewicz and Casey Reibelt have been pre-selected as prospective referees for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France.
Jacewicz (FIFA accredited in 2011) and Reibelt (FIFA accredited in 2014) were pre-selected alongside eight other AFC referees and will begin the FIFA Elite courses in April 2016.
A six time W-League Referee of the Year, Jacewicz is widely considered Australia's best female referee with the 30 year old having officiated over 50 W-League matches including 6 of the 7 W-League Grand Finals.
Internationally Jacewicz has refereed extensively in Asia including the 2015 AFC U19 Women’s Championships and recently Rounds 1 and 2 of the Rio 2016 Asian Qualifiers.
Queenslander Reibelt, the 2013/14 W-League Referee of the Year, is also well regarded and experienced with the Queenslander officiating the 2014 W-League Grand Final and internationally at the 2014 Algarve Cup.
The news for the duo comes after they were also named as part of Australia's 25 strong list of listed FIFA officials for 2016.
W-League and AFC referee Kirralee Andruschak is also part of the list with Assistant Referees Allyson Flynn, Sarah Ho and Renae Coghill.
Former AFC Assistant Referees of the Year Flynn and Ho both officiated in the 2015 FIFA Women's World with Flynn running the lines in the Japan v England semi final.
FFA Director of Referees Ben Wilson congratulated Australia’s newest FIFA officials.
