After a horror knee injury kept her on the sidelines for the entire 2018/19 campaign, Brisbane Roar signing Georgina Worth headlines Brisbane's latest quintet of star young recruits.
Brisbane have signed another five young guns to compliment their already star-packed eight-strong squad so far. All the signing news is available here:
But on a personal note, after a season involved in the club's coaching staff, Worth is excited for everything she loves most about W-League football to resume.
“I’m super excited to be back for another season,” Worth said.
"Obviously last season was disappointing but it was good to still be involved and I’m really excited to be back training, travelling and all that fun stuff."
Less certain are the Roar's own futures this season under brand new coach Jake Goodship, who has big shoes to fill in replicating Brisbane's second-placed finish last season under outgoing coach Mel Andreatta.
“It’s quite exciting to have a new coach who I have heard great things about," Worth said.
"It’s a new challenge and I’m sure all the girls will put their best foot forward.
“It’s great that young players who have grown up here in Brisbane are getting the opportunity to play for their home club, and we’ve got a great group of senior players to help the younger group too.”
